The Aqua Suit first appeared in Omega Alpha Adventure 13 under the possession of the second Shelly. When Ruby and Sapphire later prepared to ride Mega Rayquaza into space to destroy Grand Meteor Delta in Omega Alpha Adventure 21, Sapphire was given the Aqua Suit to wear for the journey. For this purpose, the suit was upgraded in several ways, including with a set of Key Stones provided by the Devon Corporation in order to Mega Evolve Rayquaza, and the Green Orb core in order to control it.
