Release information
This card was printed in the English Boundaries Crossed expansion, first released in the Japanese Cold Flare expansion, with artwork by Satoshi Shirai. A Non Holofoil print was included in the Ice Shock Theme Deck and later in the Battle Arena Decks: Rayquaza vs Keldeo. It was reprinted in the English Plasma Storm expansion with different artwork by Ayaka Yoshida as an Ultra-Rare Secret card, first included in the Japanese Plasma Gale expansion. It received new artwork by Satoshi Shirai when released in the English Plasma Blast expansion, coming from the Japanese Blastoise + Kyurem-EX Combo Deck, with a Non Holofoil print included with the expansion's Solar Strike Theme Deck.
A Cosmos Holofoil print of the Plasma Blast print was included in XY Two Pack Blisters, released on February 5, 2014. This print erroneously lists the copyright as ©2012, even though the Plasma Blast expansion was released in 2013 and the Blister Packs in 2014. A corrected copy of this print was later included in the XY Knock Out Collection and XY Kanto Two Pack Blisters, the latter released in May 2015.
