Trivia

Origin

Maschiff seems to be based on the mastiff breed of dog. The yellow fur on its back brings to mind youth, by contrast, the fur on its evolved form's back is grey which brings to mind an old person.

Name origin

Maschiff may be a combination of mafia, mastiff, chief, and mischief.

Orachifu may be a combination of 己 ora (I), mastiff, and chief.
