Effect

In battle

If the holder becomes infatuated, the Pokémon that the holder is in love with becomes infatuated as well.

Outside of battle

From Generation VI on, if held by a Pokémon in Day Care or Nursery, five of the parents' combined twelve IVs will be passed down to the child.

Description

Games Description DPPtHGSS A long, thin, bright red string to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the foe does too. BWB2W2 A long, thin, bright-red string to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the foe does too. XYORAS SMUSUM SwShBDSP An item to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the opposing Pokémon will be, too. SV An item to be held by a Pokémon. Should the holder of this bright-red thread become infatuated, the Pokémon it is infatuated with will be similarly afflicted.
