This card was included in the Scarlet & Violet expansion, first released in the Japanese Violet ex expansion. A Mirage Holofoil version of this card, featuring a Pikachu jack-o'-lantern stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork, was available in the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle from September 1, 2023.

Sharp Fang's Japanese name is that of the Razor Fang, a held item in the Pokémon games. Fire Blast is a move in the Pokémon games that Houndoom can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Violet.
