The Coastal Biome (Japanese: コーストエリア Coastal Area) is a large biome within the Terarium, located in the Unova region.

The location of the cyclone in the Coastal Biome

After the player has completed the events of The Indigo Disk, Meloetta can be encountered east of the Coastal Classroom, where a small cyclone of leaves can be found. If the player spins around clockwise in the center of the circling leaves for at least 10 seconds, activates their camera immediately afterwards, and then applies the Sepia Filter, Meloetta will appear and start singing. It can then be interacted with to initiate a battle. If defeated, it can be battled again after the game has been rebooted, provided that over one hour has passed in the Switch's internal clock since its defeat.

It is coded to never be Shiny.
