Makes the remaining Pokémon nervous.

Telekinesis (Japanese: テレキネシス Telekinesis) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation V. It was TM19 in Generation V.

Effect

Generation V to VII

Telekinesis raises its target into the air for three turns. This makes all moves used against the target (with the exception of one-hit knockout moves) bypass accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly. In addition, the target will be immune to Ground-type moves and Arena Trap.

If a Pokémon under the effect of Telekinesis is affected by Ingrain or holds an Iron Ball, it becomes grounded (i.e. it becomes vulnerable to Ground-type moves, etc.), but the effect to make moves targeting it ignore accuracy checks still applies. If a Pokémon under the effect of Telekinesis is hit by Smack Down or Thousand Arrows, the effect of Telekinesis disappears. If Gravity comes into effect, the effect of Telekinesis disappears from all Pokémon.

The move Telekinesis cannot affect a Pokémon under the effect of Ingrain, Smack Down, or Thousand Arrows. While Gravity is in effect, Telekinesis cannot be selected.

Mega Gengar, Diglett, Dugtrio, Sandygast, and Palossand cannot be affected by the move Telekinesis, but a Pokémon transformed into one of these Pokémon can be affected. If Mega Gengar is affected by Telekinesis before Mega Evolving or receives the effect via Baton Pass, the effect disappears; the other four will retain the effect if they obtain it via Baton Pass.

Telekinesis itself also bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.

If powered up by a Psychium Z into Z-Telekinesis, the user's Special Attack stat rises by one stage.

Generation VIII onwards

Telekinesis cannot be selected in a battle.

Telekinesis inflicts the Telekinesis status condition on the target in front. With this status, the affected Pokémon cannot move and its evasiveness is reduced, however it will not take any damage from Ground-type moves.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Telekinesis is Slowbro's second move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and upgrading Slack Off into it instead of Amnesia. The user shoots a beam, causing the first enemy hit to float in the air and restoring some of the user's Oblivious health. The user can reactivate the ability to pull the enemy to them, but otherwise cannot act for the duration. At level 13, the range and speed of the beam are increased.
