Pokédex entries
- Pokémon Emerald
- A Pokémon that has wings like cottony clouds. After enduring winter, in which little food is available, Swablu flocks move closer to towns in the spring.
Name origin
Swablu's name is a combination of the words swallow, referring to the species of bird on which this Pokémon is based, and blu, a misspelling of blue, referring to the color of this Pokémon. Swab may also refer its cotton swab-like wings. Its Japanese name may refer to Tyl, also known as Epsilon Draconis, a star in the Draco constellation.
Swablu is based on a bird of some variety.
