Route 116 is an east-west route in western Hoenn.
Route description
Route 116 is host to several trainers and, most notably, the headquarters of the drilling team in charge of Rusturf Tunnel's development. There are three large patches of grass on the route, containing wild Pokémon at low levels. This route is, also, the first area where trainers will encounter wild Whismur. In addition, it is one of three places at which trainers can catch wild Taillow, native to Hoenn.

- If you want to stop a Pokémon from evolving, press the B button while it is trying to evolve. The startled Pokémon will stop. This is called an evolution cancel.
- Your Bag has several Pockets. Items you obtain are automatically placed in the appropriate Pockets. No Trainer can afford to be without a Bag of their own.
