The Luminous Spring is the only place in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 where players can evolve Pokémon. Luminous Spring is unlocked after defeating the guild members at Mystifying Forest. However, the player cannot evolve their starter or partner until they have defeated Darkrai, recruited Palkia and Dialga, and have played several optional missions.
