Pallet Town (Japanese: Masara Town) is players of Generation I games start their Pokémon journeys in Kanto, as well as several other notable trainers.

There, they can receive either a Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle from Professor Oak. The exception to this was for Ash Ketchum, who got Pikachu from Oak because he woke up late the day he was supposed to get his Trainer's Licence.

Other trainers who've left Pallet Town include Gary Oak, Hajime, Red, Green, and Blue.
