Porto

(Japanese: ポルト Porto) is a character of the day in DP118. He is voiced by Unshō Ishizuka in Japanese.

Porto was last years champion of the PokéRinger competition in Wind Town. He planned to reinstate his championship for this year. His first opponent was Paul.

Porto used his Dragonite in the contest against Paul's Honchkrow. Honchkrow defeated Dragonite and Porto was forced to relinquish his championship title.

Trivia

  • Porto's name sounds remarkably similar to the former champion of the Crossgate Town PokéRinger competition in Hoenn, Volt, from That's Just Swellow. It is more similar in the kana spellings of their names; ポルト Porto and ボルト Volt. They also have a similar stature.
