The Fossil Maniac is a character in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. The player can visit his house at Route 114. In Pokémon Emerald, after the National Pokédex is obtained, the player can go to a cave inside his house, where Ditto and the unpicked fossil can be obtained. The sign outside his house states:
