Candid Camerupt! (Japanese: かちぬきファミリー!4VS4!! Kachinuki Family! 4 vs 4!) is the 46th episode of the Advanced Generation series, and the 320th episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on October 9, 2003 and in the United States on October 9, 2004.
Synopsis
Template:Incomplete synopsis Ash, May, Max, and Brock are walking through a desert and they have just run out of water. Pikachu falls down out of exhaustion, and eventually, so does everybody else. A Camerupt walks up and finds them, taking them back to the Winstrate family. They are sitting at a table and the family is talking to them. Vivi is talking to Max as May smiles. A man meets Team Rocket out in the desret.

Errors
- In the Trainer's Choice portion of this episode, the viewer is asked to pick which of these three Pokémon would be the best choice to battle Camerupt: Beedrill, Nuzleaf, or Magcargo. The answer is revealed as Nuzleaf. While Nuzleaf, as a Template:Type2, would be effective against Camerupt's Template:Type2, it would be less effective on Camerupt's primary Template:Type2, and be at risk of high damage. In truth, none of the Pokémon would be effective battle choices, though Magcargo would suffer the least damage from Camerupt's Fire attacks, due to its Rock and Template:Type2s, but also has a 4x weakness against Camerupt's Ground attacks.
- In one shot, one of Ash's thumbs are colored black, like his glove.
