Trivia
Origin
Snorunt is based on a person wearing a certain kind of Japanese straw cloak to protect him or herself from the snow.
Name origin
Snorunt's name is a combination of snow and runt, referring to a small animal. Its Japanese name possibly is a combination of 雪 yuki, snow, and 座敷童子 zashiki warashi, a spiritual creature found in the folklore of Iwate Prefecture. The French name is based off of "stalagmite".
