In the games
Lanette is introduced in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. She upgraded Bill's Pokémon storage system, giving it a user friendly graphical interface and the ability to store more Pokémon and change the wallpaper of the Boxes Pokémon are stored in.
Her house, on Route 114, gets very cluttered while she researches. In return for keeping it a secret, she'll give the main character of a SeedotWrong template. See Template:Sup/doc.Wrong template. See Template:Sup/doc. or LotadWrong template. See Template:Sup/doc. doll.
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
In Pokémon Adventures, Lanette and her sister went to Kanto to upgrade its Pokémon storage system, to make it compatible with the one in Hoenn. This information came in useful for Red; he and Mewtwo later fought Deoxys after it was caught by Giovanni.
