A Veteran (Japanese: ベテラントレーナー Veteran Trainer) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation IV games. In Generation IV they are depicted as healthy old men in old-fashioned clothing, usually in a white gi and a red hakama. In Pokémon Black and White, the Veterans has been depicted as much younger people in trenchcoats. Also, female Veterans were introduced.
They are similar to the Expert class of Generation III, but use a variety of Pokémon instead of just Template:Type2s.
