Ash's Tsutarja (Japanese: サトシのツタージャ Satoshi's Tsutarja) is the fourth Pokémon that Ash caught in the Isshu region.

History

Tsutarja appeared in BW007 as it was hiding to some tall grass. When Ash found it, he tried to capture her with Pikachu, Mijumaru and Pokabu but couldn't because of her move, Attract. Ash spent a long time following her, and then used a female Pokémon, Mamepato, to make sure Tsutarja could not use Attract. After a long battle, Ash finally captured the Grass Snake Pokémon.

Trivia

• Tsutarja's capture was first revealed in a short preview aired after DP190, featuring all the Isshu starters.
• The capture of Tsutarja marks the first time Ash has owned all three of the region's starters since his adventures in Kanto and Johto.
• Tsutarja's capture was Ash's last capture of the three Isshu starters. In the previous four regions, each region's Grass-type starter was the first to be caught by Ash.
• Tsutarja is Ash's the second confirmed female grass. The first being Bayleaf
