The Trainer Tower (Japanese: トレーナータワー Trainer Tower ) is similar to the Battle Tower and was initially found in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen north of Seven Island in the Sevii Islands . It has various modes of battling, offering different rewards if they are beaten. Rewards are time-based: the lower the time taken, the better the prizes.
A similar location is found in Pokémon Emerald , north of Mauville City , though here it is known as Trainer Hill . It has sliding mazes and utilizes the tag battle feature introduced in Emerald as well. Unlike normal Battle Towers, items, such as Revives and Potions , are permitted to be used both during and between battles. Battles conducted here do not award experience or money .
