(Japanese: N (エヌ) N) is a character in Black and White Versions. He is the leader of Team Plasma, and aspires to create separate worlds for humans and Pokémon.
In the games
N exists as an antagonistic character, appearing before the player at several points during the game to battle. Despite his aspirations, he refers to Pokémon as "friends".

Trivia
- The cube hanging off of N's belt is the first iteration of a Menger sponge, a geometric figure that simultaneously has infinite surface area and zero volume.
- Unlike most recurring characters, N battles with a completely different team in every appearance (except for his Gigigiaru, which may be an evolution of his Giaru). Possibly because of his "capability" to befriend Pokémon, when he is battled, he uses Pokémon from a nearby area. This of course does not include the final battle against him.
- The reason he releases them seems to stem from his belief that Pokémon should not be used as tools.
- This also means that N has owned more Pokémon in the games than any other villainous team leader.
- N is the only leader of a villianous team to use a Pokémon that's only available via event.
- N, Bel, and Cheren are the only Trainers in Black and White with animated battle sprites.
- N is the only Trainer from a main series game not fought in a Battle Tower or Battle Frontier who uses a legendary Pokémon on his team, using the opposite version mascot from the player in Black and White.
