Control Gauntlets are used by the Pokémon Pinchers to capture Pokémon in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. They take time to capture a Pokémon, so it is possible for the connection can be cut off before the process is complete, as shown when two Pinchers are cut off from pinching Ukulele Pichu in the game. They can also be used to show Ranger Signs on old monuments.
