Hammer Arm (Japanese: アームハンマー Arm Hammer) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Hammer Arm does damage, then lowers the user's Speed by one level. If the user has Iron Fist as its ability, then Hammer Arm's base power is increased by 1.5X, becomes 150.

  • Of all the times Hammer Arm was used in the anime, no Pokémon seemed to lose speed like its effect suggests.
  • Despite Hammer Arm being a Fighting-type move introduced in Generation IV, no Fighting-type Pokémon could learn this move until Generation V.
    • Additionally, the only Fighting-type Pokémon to learn this move are introduced in Generation V.
