Pound (Japanese: はたく Strike) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Pound inflicts damage and has no secondary effect.

- Jigglypuff uses Pound as its B attack in Super Smash Bros. From Super Smash Bros. Melee onwards, Pound became its side B attack. It is mainly used as an alternate recovery move, since its up B attack, Sing, does not help Jigglypuff recover.

- Pound has the lowest index number of any legitimate move in the Pokémon RPGs.
- Almost all Pokémon able to learn this move learn it at level 1, except Jigglypuff and its pre-evolution form.
