Fire Punch (Japanese: ほのおのパンチ Flame Punch) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I that may burn the target.
Effect
Fire Punch does damage and has a 10% chance of burning the opponent.
Fire Punch can't burn an opponent that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
If a Pokémon is frozen when hit by Fire Punch, the move may thaw the Pokémon out.
