Origin
Enbuoh is based on the soldier of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.[1] It and its pre-evolutions, as stated by Ken Sugimori, were designed in a Chinese style. It is based on a pig or boar in a professional wrestler's or possibly a lucha libre's attire. The swirled pattern that surrounds its abdomen is visually similar to the patterns on ancient Greek pottery.
Name origin
"Enbuoh" may be derived from the words 炎 en (flame) or ember, 豚 buta (pig) or 武 bu (martial arts), and 王 ō (king). The "buoh" might also come from boar.
