A Japanese event randomly distributed an egg that contained an in-game representation of Dent's Pansage, Ash's Pidove, or Iris's Kibago via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Like its anime counterpart, this Pansage knows Bullet Seed, Bite, SolarBeam, and Dig. It is also, interestingly, always male. This event started on December 17th, 2010, and will end January 11, 2011.
A Japanese event randomly distributed an egg that contained an in-game representation of Dent's Pansage, Ash's Pidove, or Iris's Axew via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Pansage is Dent's first Pokémon; it made its first appearance in BW005 where he showed it to Ash who scanned it on his Pokédex before battling.
Pansage was the third and final Pokémon Ash faced in his Gym battle, where it went up against Ash's Oshawott. However, Pansage dodged all of its attacks with ease and hit Oshawott quite hard with Bullet Seed and Bite. After Oshawott finally hit a midair Pansage with Water Gun, Pansage started charging SolarBeam, which petrified Oshawott with fear. It appeared again in the very next episode where it was defeated by Oshawott, earning Ash his first badge in the Unova region. At the end of the episode, Dent takes Pansage with him while he travels with Ash and Iris.
In BW009, Dent used Pansage in a battle against Iris's Axew to help Axew gain some battle experience. Even though Pansage significantly lowered its own attack power, Axew was thrown off by its attacks. The battle ended when Axew used Dragon Rage which caused an explosion that took Pansage, as well as everyone else, by surprise.
In BW011, Pansage was used to help track down a group of Ishizumai by using Dig. It was injured by the one Ishizumai that it was trying to help. The Ishizumai apologized and a friendship was formed. It later fell ill because of the injury and was given an herbal remedy made by Iris. In the morning, after Pansage recovered, it assisted Ishizumai in getting its rock back. Pansage was very happy when Ishizumai decided to travel with Dent and itself, so that their friendship can continue.
