Iris (Japanese: アイリス Iris) is one of the Gym Leaders of Souryuu City's Gym, known officially as the Souryuu Gym. She specializes in Template:Type2 Pokémon. She gives the Legend Badge to Trainers who defeat her.

In the games

Iris appears in Pokémon Black and White; in Pokémon White, she is the Gym Leader of Souryuu City's gym. This gym is the eighth to be challenged by the player. Trainers who defeat Iris will receive the Legend Badge, along with TM82 (Dragon Tail). She also reappears at N's Castle where she and the other Unova Gym Leaders hold off the Seven Sages. In the summer, she visits Cynthia at Sazanami Town.

In Pokémon Black, she will teach Draco Meteor to the player's Dragon-type Pokémon. She can be found in her home in Souryuu City.

  • The only difference between Iris and Shaga's teams are the genders of their Pokémon: Iris has an all-female team, while Shaga has an all-male team.
  • Iris and Clair are both female Gym Leaders that train Dragon-types. Coincidentally, they are both the eighth Gym Leader the player challenges in Unova and Johto, respectively.
  • Iris is the first Gym Leader since Erika to keep her Japanese name.
