Spore (Japanese: キノコのほうし Mushroom Spore ) is a non-damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I . Up until Generation III , it was Paras and Parasect 's signature move .
Effect
Generation I-II
Spore puts the target to sleep . It will not affect a target that already has a major status ailment. In Stadium, Spore can't affect a target that has a Substitute .
Generation III and on
Spore's effects remain the same, except that now it can't affect targets with Insomnia or Vital Spirit as their ability.
