First game was Silver (October 2000), but I didn't really get into the fandom proper until mid-late Generation III...I consider the time period between Emerald and DP to be the Golden Age of the fandom itself. Never was quite the same afterward. It's probably not a coincidence, then, that G3 happens to be my favourite generation overall. Ironically enough, Generation II is easily my least favourite!
