Physiology
Druddigon is a large, blue, hunchbacked, reptilian creature with medium-sized wings shaped like thistle leaves. It has a set of glaring, ferocious irises. Its arms are longer than its legs, giving it a low-slung, sloping gait. It has a thick, medium-length tail and sharp claws on both the hands and feet. Its head is colored bright red, and has several blunt horns and spikes jutting out everywhere. It also has tall, conical spikes—similarly colored red; three on each arm, one on each shoulder, two on each leg, and four on its tail. It has a blunt, brutal snout, bearing a maw with no discernible teeth; instead, small fang-like protrusions sprout from its jaws. Its eyes are pale yellow. It has a series of olive-colored, football-shaped scutes running across its belly.

Trivia
- Druddigon is the only non-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon that is not related to any other Pokémon by evolution.
- It is also the only pure Dragon-type Pokémon that does not evolve into or from another Pokémon.
- Druddigon has the lowest base stat total, Special Attack and Speed of all fully evolved Dragon-type Pokémon.
- Despite Druddigon's Pokédex entry stating that the skin on its face is harder than a rock, it cannot have Rock Head as an ability.
- Druddigon is the only non shark-based Pokémon that can have Rough Skin, despite the Japanese name of the ability being Sharkskin.
- Druddigon is the only Pokémon that can learn Glare that is not based on a snake, despite the Japanese name of the move being Snake Glare.
- Druddigon is in the red color group, despite being predominately blue. Its Japanese name does mean 'red face', however.
Origin
Given Druddigon's grotesque features and the rock-like qualities stated in its Pokédex entries, it seems to be based on a gargoyle. Its natural appearance also seems to resemble a European dragon.
Name origin
Druddigon is derived from dragon and ruddy, a descriptor for anything reddish in color. Crimigan is likely derived from クリムゾン crimson and 顔 gan, face, or 岩 gan, rock.
