Route 204 (Japanese: ２０４ばんどうろ Route 204) is a route in Sinnoh. Route 204 connects Floaroma Town in the north and Jubilife City in the south. There is a cave in the middle of the route called the Ravaged Path that divides the route into northern and southern sections. Players cannot get to the northern section without first obtaining the Coal Badge and Rock Smash. Passage through the cave is required to reach Floaroma Town. The Town Map describes it as "a charmingly natural path that wanders past ponds and groves."
Route description
Lower part
Heading north from Jubilife City, the route passes two small ponds opposite each other while walking up a short brick road. The small lake on the eastern side can be accessed by going around the fence; there is also a small patch of tall grass and an item, that can be obtained by going further. The pond on the western side of the route can be accessed to by going around another fence. By surfing across the lake to the a small cut-off section, a Sea Incense can be found.
By traveling further up the route, there will be a large section of tall grass. Several trainers are located around this area, notably Youngsters and Lasses. On the north-east corner stands another lake that can be surfed across to reach another hidden section, where a HP Up can be found. By traveling north from the large patch of grass, the entrance to Ravaged Path can be found.
Upper part
When exiting Ravaged Path, the section will begin at a large hill face, making its way north in an signature "S" shape, turning east then west to a patch of tall grass, where wild Pokémon roam. By traveling north upon this section, there will be a tree that can be Cut down to reveal a hidden path where a teacher from the Trainers' School hands out TM78 (Captivate) when found. By traveling west and then north beyond a section of tall grass, there will be the entrance to Floaroma Town.
