Sprites

The is a problem with the sprites: The normal ones from Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed and LeafGreen are the same as the shiny ones! File:Ani282MS.gifNetto-kun TalkFile:Ani445MS.gif 11:32, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Hm, it's my fault. I uploaded the shiny ones instead of the normal ones. Sorry guys. -_-' -File:Ani038MS.gifうずまき ハルカMay.png 15:54, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Effort yield?

I believe Aipom gives out Speed instead of Special Defense because (1) it says so in other sites, (2) Ambipom gives out 2 Speed EPs, and (3) the old abbreviations "SpD" and "Spe" can be easily confused. Am I right? --Johans 05:55, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Mythic Origin?

Just thought I should run this by you people before actually changing anything (seeing as I signed up for the sole purpose of pointing this out), but I believe that Aipom is based off the mythic creature Ahuizotl. It says so here: [1] - unsigned comment from JoJotehHead (talkcontribs)

It's got similarities, but mainly only in the tail with the hand on it; aside from that, Aipom is primate-based, while Ahuizotl is canine-based, and there aren't any other features in common. I think it's more likely that Aipom is based purely off the common monkey. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:17, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

level up or just learn?

I had an aipom once, and it learned double hit and evolved; no level up required. That made me wonder: "Does an aipom have to level up while knowing double Hit, or just learn it to evolve?" ŚĥîΠŶPî₭₳ĉĥŭ 20:35, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

I'd assume that the level you gained to teach it Doubt Hit counted as the level up. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 20:37, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Fake Out

Sableye, Hariyama, Makuhita, and a whole bunch of other pokemon can't pass down moves to aipom, their not in the same egg group. I think someone thought that Aipom was in the Humanshape egg group when he actually is in the ground egg group, because most of the egg move list is wrong. Chubs 22:16, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Double Hit

Since my edit was undone, why shouldn't we include that Aipom learns the move at level 32? It's purely for convenience, and I bet it's helpful for anyone trying to level up their Pokémon. There also isn't any downside or clutter by including it. Frankjohnson123 19:45, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Japanese GSC Sprites

Like Jynx and Slowpoke, Aipom apparently has a different set of Japanese sprites in GSC, yet I cannot spot any real differences. If someone can spot the difference, please add this to the trivia.

The Japanese Gold sprites are missing the spot on Aipom's chest. Other than that (and the fact that the Japanese image is four pixels wider & taller), I can't see any difference. —Minimiscience 23:52, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Having clicked on these images, it turns out that the only Japanese-only sprites are for the Gold Aipom. The others appear to just be redirects. XVuvuzela2010X 23:56, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
