Then all of a sudden comes out a Ludicolo which belongs to a Trainer named Poncho. Poncho, after examining Lombre asks to have a battle. If Ash or any one of them lost, they would have to give Poncho their sandwiches, and if Poncho lost, he would buy them some cheeseburgers. As Poncho chooses his trusty Ludicolo, Ash was probably going to choose Pikachu but Grovyle came wanting to battle, not before Corphish interfering and wanting to battle. In the end Corphish loses but does not admit defeat and runs off. The gang then figures out that they have been praising Grovyle which then causes Corphish to be forgotten and its feelings hurt. Team Rocket then sees Ludicolo, his trainer and Corphish having lunch and have one of their fantasies involving the boss and Ludicolo. Team Rocket captures Poncho and Ludicolo but Corphish saves the two and helps lead Ash and friends find him.
