The Hoenn Safari Zone is a special Pokémon preserve where trainers can enter to capture certain types of Pokémon.
For File:Pokébuck sign.gif500, the player will receive 30 Safari Balls. Certain areas can only be accessed with the Mach bike, Acro bike, Surf or Rock Smash. Another area will open up directly above the entrance in Pokémon Emerald on the first defeat of the Elite Four.
There are four options in battle:
- Go near
- Feed a PokéBlock
- Throw a Ball
- Run away.
