Sunflora (Japanese: キマワリ Kimawari) is a Grass-type Pokémon.

It evolves from Sunkern when exposed to a Sun Stone.

Biology

Physiology

Sunflora's body is based on a sunflower. Every part of Sunflora's body except its head is colored green, with its face being cream-colored. Its head is circular and sports sunflower-like yellow petals from the sides, although the back of its head is cream-colored. Sunflora has leaves extending like arms from its round body, and two toes on each foot.

Gender differences

None.

Special abilities

Sunflora using Ingrain

Sunflora's diverse movepool makes it a versatile species. For instance, Sunflora can use seed-based attacks such as Leech Seed, Bullet Seed, and Worry Seed as well as moves that rely on leaves, including Razor Leaf and Leaf Storm. Additionally, Sunflora can learn a range of HP-restoring moves such as Mega Drain or Ingrain and even acquire weather-manipulating moves such as Sunny Day.

Behavior

Sunflora are constantly seen with a wide smile. Sunflora are only awake during the day: they awake as soon as the sun rises and close their petals to go to sleep as soon as the sun sets. While the sun is up, they move about in a hectic manner pursuing warm sunlight. However, they come to a complete stop when the sun sets.

Habitat

Sunflora are rarely found in the wild, and are thought to share their habitat with Sunkern.
