Azelf (Japanese: アグノム Agnome) is the third member of the Sinnoh Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon trinity.
Biology
Azelf is a legendary Pokémon that is part of the Psychic-type trio along with Uxie and Mesprit. It has a small blue body about the size of Mew, and is identical to Uxie and Mesprit except for its head. It has a blue cone shaped head with a jewel embedded in its forehead and also two blue dropping ears and yellow eyes. It is referred to as "The Being of Willpower". It can either make people give up on an activity or cause them to attempt the activity repeatedly. Residing and sleeping at the base of a lake, it keeps the world in balance. If Azelf is harmed, the attacker, after five days, will become indefinitely immobile.
In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the trio is captured by Team Galactic, and they are freed by the protagonist. They attempt to stop Dialga or Palkia from overwhelming Sinnoh later in the game. After defeating Dialga or Palkia, Azelf returns to Lake Valor.
