Route 23 (Japanese: 23ばんどうろ Route 23) is the final numbered route in Unova. It is located in northeastern Unova and connects the Giant Chasm to Victory Road. It can only be accessed after the player has defeated Ghetsis in the Giant Chasm's deepest part.
Route description
Route 23 connects Victory Road with the Giant Chasm. It is a mountain-like road, with many mountainous features, such as ponds and crevasses. The north-west of the route features a puzzle involving Strength and Cut. There are narrow paths between trees and raised platforms, making it hard to navigate and find the right path.

Trivia
- The music that plays on this route features a slower, remixed version of the theme that plays in Professor Rowan's laboratory in the Generation IV games.
- The Bouffalant and Amoonguss on this route are at level 56, the highest leveled non-legendary wild Pokémon the player can legally obtain in any game prior to the credits.
- This route and Kanto Route 23 both have the same name, and are the last routes before their region's respective Pokémon Leagues. However, the positions of Route 23 and Victory Road in relation to the Pokémon League in Kanto are inverted in Unova.
- Both also do not exist in another pair of games taking place in the region; Kanto's doesn't exist in HeartGold and SoulSilver, while Unova's doesn't exist in the original Black and White.
