The Field Egg Group (Japanese: りくじょう Land), known in Pokémon Stadium 2 as the Ground Egg Group, is one of the fifteen Egg Groups. It is the largest of the Egg Groups, with 181 Pokémon.
Characteristics
Pokémon in the Field Egg Group tend to be terrestrial creatures. Most are based on mammals, though there are several exceptions to this rule, such as Ekans, Kecleon, and Sandile, which are reptiles, and Delibird and Torchic, which are birds.
The inclusion of Wailord, an extremely large Pokémon, in this group is the basis for the HSOWA joke in the fandom. The inclusion of Smeargle, a Pokémon capable of learning almost every move in the game, makes chain breeding unnecessary since all combinations are legal.
