Caterpie (Japanese: キャタピー Caterpie) is a Grass-type Basic Pokémon card. It is part of the Base Set.

Release information
This card was released in the English Base Set, originating from the Japanese Expansion Pack. It was later reprinted in the English Base Set 2 expansion and the English Legendary Collection expansion.
Early print runs of the card had the HP read "HP 40" instead of "40 HP". Additionally, early prints of the card mistakenly list the weight as "length".

String Shot is a move in the Pokémon games that Caterpie can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
