Trivia

• In HeartGold and SoulSilver game data, Nosepass is able to learn Head Smash via breeding; however, no Pokémon that can actually learn it has an Egg Group compatible with Nosepass's in that game. Due to this, the move later was removed in its Black and White game data. The move remains unavailable in Generation VI despite the fact that Aegislash would have been able to pass down the move.
• Head Smash has the highest base power of all moves that cause recoil damage.
