Location of Fight Area in Sinnoh.
The Fight Area in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl

Fight Area (Japanese: ファイトエリア Fight Area) is an area of the Battle Zone, northeast of Sinnoh. It is the home of Battle Park. In Platinum, Battle Park is replaced by the Sinnoh Battle Frontier.

Fight Area is the town players will arrive at when first visiting the Battle Zone. In fact, it is the only area of the Zone accessible until the player has visited the Battle Frontier and obtained the National Pokédex.

Near the gate, the player can receive a Super Rod from a fisherman.

Battle Frontier

Main article: Battle Frontier (Generation IV)

Within the Battle Frontier are five battle facilities, including the Battle Tower, where Battle Points can be earned, an Entrance hall, and a marketplace and prize center where Battle Points can be exchanged for items.

Name origin

Lucas in front of the Battle Frontier entrance

The name seems to come from the fact that the Fight Area is not a city, however, it is a tiny port town built around the Battle Park/Battle Frontier, where many Pokémon battles take place.
