Picture?
Perhaps a better picture could be used, like one that did have about a third of its body concealed? I'm sure there are at least a few full-body (if that's the aim) pictures. Heck, the one used for displaying Shell Blade could even be used.--Black Yin Zekrom 03:29, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think you DO know but in case you don't, Archives is Locked for now and normal users can't upload new images. So, either we can wait for its unlock date or an admin need to upload a new header. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 09:11, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I didn't know.--Black Yin Zekrom 15:28, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
I thought the previous pic where it was preparing to use Shell Blade was a better shot. It wasn't covering it's face like it is now. --Gaiash 11:04, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, but we can't use it because it's from a future episode. So, we can't and someone added shell blade in the moves section so I'm gonna hide it as Miju hasn't used it yet. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 11:20, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
Didn't Mijumaru actually use shell blade in the second episode when it poked a hole in team rockets balloon?RBK 22:21, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- No, it just used it as a boomerang. Its shell glows when it uses Shell Blade. I've uploaded the header and water gun pictures for now, they are not in super high quality but I've to go to uni now. So, I'll upload remaining images later. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 01:32, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- Good point. The one that was up at the time was also from a future episode so at the time that didn't seem to be the issue. I like the pic that's being used now though. --Gaiash 05:53, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Regarding a piece of trivia...
The one about debuting before mamepato but being captured after, being the only unowned pokemon to do so... I dont think we ahould keep that not owned by a trainer part, because thats getting too specific (In my opinion at least). Also, didnt prof aragagi own it?--Burgundy 23:38, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Ya that true it is still owned by Professor Aragagi.RBK 22:42, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Whoa, whoa, whoa...
Just checked back. In my opinion, there was WAY TOO MUCH cut from the History section from this article. It needs to be reverted, in order to bring back most, if not all, of what was cut. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I thought the articles here were supposed to be detailed and informative, not bare bones that do not tell you anything about the Pokémon or it's personality. --JediKnightDTV 05:08, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's better than the way it was. You were being far too descriptive for only six episodes. It was almost like a synopsis. Where would be put information for future episodes? --ケンジのガール 05:17, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Isn't it better to air on the side of too descriptive rather than not, at least for the moment, with so few episodes aired? After all, there is plenty of time to cut stuff later, when the new episodes air. I agree with you KG, when the new episodes air, we would need to cut stuff. However, for the moment, with only half a dozen episodes aired, I feel like more detail would be better than less. Besides, I have to admit, I have a soft spot for the little guy. I find him absolutely hilarious, one of Ash's most entertaining Pokémon he has ever had, in my opinion. --JediKnightDTV 05:27, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- You've still got five whole paragraphs—there's plenty of history for now, most of which will be cut out in the future. Some of Ash's Pokémon have shorter history sections than this (and are long enough). It's meant to detail specific changes, such as catching it, sending it away, learning a move, personal growth, evolution, etc. not what it does in each episode. --SnorlaxMonster 05:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Shell?
Meh...I've been thinking..that Shell of Mijumaru's has been used for a lot of various things so far..so I was kind of wondering...wouldn't it be some kind of trivia that lists the various things Mijumaru has used it's shell for?
Example:
Mijumaru has used its shell for various things, so far it has used it as a
Boomerang BW002
Shield BW002
Towel BW003
Weapon BW006
and so on and so forth. I may be putting this too early as it hasn't been used for a lot of things..but I thought it might be some interesting trivia. Ataro 04:41, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- Rather than making a miscellaneous list at the end of the article, try working it into the page's substantial content. Trivia's good for the stuff that doesn't fit, but a lot of the time these things can be put elsewhere. —darklordtrom 04:52, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- It also uses its shell to make a sound similar to Asian instrument.--でんのう ☢ Zえんし 09:01, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Mijumaru battling Tsutarja in BW007
I was just wondering as to why this was deleted??? It is a confirmed event so I don't see why we can put it in there.RBK 21:02, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Ok but it not like I put that Ash will capture it. I just put that mijumaru will battle a wild Tsutarja which was confirmed in the official preview. I'm not seeing the issue here. Plus the same thing is on mamepato's page and it did not get deleted, but when I put it on Pikachu's page it got deleted too. So please tell me the issue here?RBK 21:24, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Ok is it cool to put it on Pikachu's page too??RBK 21:33, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Yep so is Pokabu but it's article is protected so can't do anything about that. If you want to see for your self go to youtube and type bw007 and the preview should come up.RBK 21:38, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Mijumaru has appeared in the most episodes in a row
With 8 appearances, and maybe more to come. Add to trivia?--Burgundy 00:42, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- no, he needs at least a piplup level of appearances first Ataro 00:43, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Regarding a Piece of Trivia
"Also, each Water-type starter Pokémon so far obtained by a main character was not battled, Squirtle and Mijumaru wanted to join his team, while Ash fought and won against Misty for Totodile. Brock also did not battle Mudkip to obtain it. May received a Squirtle from Professor Oak and lastly, Dawn received Piplup from Professor Rowan."
Is this the place to mention this? This should probably be moved to the starter pokemon page under the anime similarities section.--Burgundy 03:33, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- Not here. Move it if you want. —darklordtrom 03:52, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Lisa Ortiz
I'm quite sure Lisa Ortiz is voicing the 'wott in the new dub, despite it being her first creature role. Listen to one of her vocal roles and Osh together: http://www.box.net/shared/d33l61o4uf I'll be reverting it back in a couple of days unless I hear otherwise, and I can find closer examples, believe me. Shift 21:36, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Huh. Well can't deny that. You proved your case. Go ahead and add it back. --ケンジのガール 21:44, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Shell Blade
Do you guys think we should put in the trivia that Oshawott uses a variation of shell blade sometimes??RBK 07:18, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- No. Why would we do that? It knows the move already in the Japanese anime and we update things here as the Japanese anime progresses.--Alex726(TALK) 22:44, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- And he's never used a variation Ataro 22:56, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, he has. He has a regular-looking Razor Shell attack and has another were the attack looks like a sword. --ケンジのガール 23:13, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Not really, it's just the energy coming from the tip of the scalchop, not the side like he usually does. I'm not sure that counts as a variation though...doesn't really seem like one Ataro 23:15, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Just out of sheer curiosity...
...can Oshawott breathe underwater, despite being based on a mammal (an otter)? If so, is this worthy of being added to the trivia section? Or is it just assumed that all Water Pokémon can breathe underwater in the anime? --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 23:01, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
- Intresting question. Maybe they really act like real mammals and they breath air. I don't think it should be added to trivia because we would have to add it to the other mammal related water pokemon including the Spheal and Wailmer families. Hope this helped. --Pokemaster97 23:17, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Mijumaru vs Pansear
Let me guess, Mijumaru's battle with Chili's Pansear wasn't important right??RBK 19:10, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- I think since it was agaist a recurring character, a gym leader infact, it is important, just no one had added it yetDiamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 19:17, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Improvised Move??
Can the spinning water gun used in the gym battle against Clay be considered an improvised move??RBK 23:47, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
So I guess this means no??RBK 06:15, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think it can count in the same league as Ice Aqua Jet and Counter Shield etc. I think it's best to leave it as it is Azure/ChromeVoid42 16:06, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
I would at least call it a variation right??RBK 18:55, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
- I'd ask someone like Kenji or something Azure/ChromeVoid42 20:28, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
That's why I posted here, hoping one of them answers.RBK 03:16, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
OshawottxEmolga ♥

Dub Name Pronounciation
One thing that I've noticed is that Oshawott pronounces his name as it is spelled, but characters are pronouncing it as Osh-ew/oo-wott instead. Anyone know why they do this? - unsigned comment from G50 (talk • contribs)
Personality and characteristics
For this section, should one note that Oshawott would every once in a while get into a scrape with Ash's Pignite, back when he was a Tepig? I think this might be noted for Oshawott's personality, and Pignite's as well on his page. --PKMNAdventurer 18:27, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
- I'll type up BW066 in the starter's history when I get the chance, Oshawott and Tepig's fight in BW074 will be mentioned Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 21:31, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Bouffalant episode
Oshawott's part in this episode has been removed, while I think its still notable I can understand why TG thinks it is not. However the episode is still on Pignite and Snivy's page so let us all agree here wheather or not it should be on or off the three's pages Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 12:54, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- I think it's a case by case basis. Nothing says it can't be on the other two if it's not here. --Spriteit (talk) 05:20, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
BW094 and Oshawott's Evolution
I was just wondering that since we know the episode title for BW094, could that mean that Oshawott is to evolve twice between now and the airing of the episode? After all, the title mentions Samurott? Should this page be protected, just in case? --Pokemon26 (talk) 15:53, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- If the Samurott BW094 is Ash's, I'll give up all my worldy possesions and become a hermet. Given that we have so much infomation about the episodes running up to this and that Oshawott isn't even known to be appearing, I think many of us would agree that this page does not need protection Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 16:01, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- There has been a rare occurrence of a non-Bug type such as Oshawott evolving twice in one episode. PattyMan 16:05, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- What, who? Given the infomation about the upcoming episodes, does anyone seriously think this is Ash's Samurott?! Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 16:15, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- I doubt that the Samurott is Ash's. The evidence points to the conclusion that the Samurott belongs to Kotetsu. That makes more sense than a double evolution. There's not enough information to make assumptions that it is Ash's. That's just my two cents. --Pokemaster97 16:28, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Considering that the episode summary says that Kotetsu will challenge Marlon (and Ash would just be observing), there's a very high chance that Samurott belongs to one of them. (It's more likely that it would be Kotetsu's, seeing that there's a Mantine in Marlon's team). --超龍「Chao」 16:35, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Possible evolution?
The latest issue of CoroCoro announced a new arc coming soon and in that arc is an episode called 「さらばミジュマル!?ホタチキングへの道」 Goodbye Oshawott!? The Road to Hotachi King. It says that an outbreak of Oshawott has occured in Hotachi Island and that Ash's Oshawott is in deep water. Can we say that in this episode that Oshawott may evolve? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 13:10, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- He's not evolving. The movie proves that. Ataro (talk) 13:30, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Meloetta
Meloetta are genderless. The references to this Pokemon in the article near 'Meloetta and the undersea temple' say 'she' and 'her'. The fact Piplup and Oshawott have a crush on the Pokemon is moot? Jaylaw (talk) 15:42, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Oshawott's manga image has been uploaded, a:File:Ash Oshawott M16 manga.png, if someone could add it in and update the manga section as well since the page will be protected for a while. PattyMan 05:17, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Has Brock been romantic with a female just like Ash's Oshawott?
I read the Youtube comments of the video of BW126 and most of them says that Oshawott is just like Brock, because Brock is romantic at a female trainer, like Oshawott is romantic at a female Pokemon. I'm skilled at editing even though I'm not an autocofirmed user of this wiki, so I would like to have the statement of how Oshawott fell in love broken into a new paragraph, and have this added at the beginning:
"Like Brock, who is the most romantic Pokemon trainer, Oshawott is the most romantic Pokemon, as both fell in love with a female trainer and Pokemon, respectively."
This statement should have better grammar. SnivyLover666 (talk) 22:13, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
