Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction (Japanese: 破壊の繭とディアンシー The Cocoon of Destruction and Diancie) is the first XY series movie and the seventeenth Pokémon movie overall. It will be released in Japan on July 19, 2014.
The first trailer for the film was shown at the end of M16, containing Xerneas, Yveltal, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. Its preliminary title was first revealed by CoroCoro on December 15, 2013. The CoroCoro issue released in February 2014 revealed that the Legendary Pokémon Diancie would also have a starring role in the film.
In addition to Xerneas, Yveltal, and Diancie the film will prominently feature several Mega Evolutions. It will be featured in Japanese theaters with the Pikachu short PK26.
