A Madame (Japanese: マダム Madame), known as a Socialite until Generation VI, is a type of Pokémon Trainer introduced in Generation IV. They are depicted as rich, older women wearing exquisite clothing and accessories.
Madames will generally use Pokémon based on pets or other "refined" Pokémon, like Roselia. In the Battle Subway, they specialize in legendary Pokémon. In Pokémon X and Y, they can only be battled in the Battle Maison, but will also appear in the Battle Chateau, though under a different Trainer class. Their male counterparts appear to be the Gentleman and Monsieur classes.

In the manga
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
A Socialite appears in Bombastic Bibarel and Heroic Hippopotas of the Diamond & Pearl arc where she, along with a Gentleman, battles Diamond and Pearl.
Pokémon
Bibarel is the Socialite's only known Pokémon. It was able to combine its Water Gun with Hippopotas's Sand Tomb to create a unique battlefield. However, it didn't take long for the Beaver Pokémon to be knocked out by Chimler's Fury Swipes.
Bibarel's only known move is Water Gun.
