Croagunk resembles a dark blue bipedal frog, with a white band around its waist area and red and black markings on its hands and feet. Its coloring and poisonous nature suggest that it is based on poison dart frogs. The markings on its body make it look like a Muay Thai fighter. The black around its eyes and the white bands make it look like a injured fighter with black eyes and broken ribs. Its cheeks are filled with a poison that runs to its fingers, allowing it to poison opponents by stabbing them.
Gender differences
The two white stripes that run across Croagunk's abdomen will be higher up if it is a female.
If Croagunk has the ability Dry Skin, the effect of Water becomes 0, and Water attacks will heal 25% of Croagunk's HP. In addition, the effect of Fire becomes 200.
Croagunk's English name, along with numerous others, was released on 13th February 2007. Due to the poor quality of the image, it was believed its name was "Croalurk". It was later officialy revealed to be Croagunk.
Croagunk is able to learn X-Scissor even though it doesn't have claws or scythes.
Croagunk is probably a combination of croak and gunk. The Japanese name comes kerokero, the Japanese onomatopoeia for a frog's croaking, and gerogero, the Japanese word that's used to describe something disgusting.
