Realize, everyone: I'm not the sole admin here, nor am I the head of all things. I know you all seriously love to talk to me, but guys, I can't always be here, and it's hard to edit when I'm downtown in the Loop (because I lack a mouse there on the Lappy so as to carry less). Anyway! Contact the others. Ask Zhen Lin about things. He's in charge of it all, not me, and I'm glad for that; I'd've gone out of my mind by now.

Teddiursa/Ursaring and Phanpy/Donphan in Japanese Gold and Silver

Contrary to what you seem to think, these two families were indeed reversed in the translation of Gold and Silver to English, as far as availability between Gold and Silver is concerned. It is one of the major changes from the Japanese versions, often brought up along with the fact that several sprites were modified, including but not limited to that of Jynx.

As proof, refer to Teddiursa and Phanpy's location pages on the Japanese Pokepale web site. Notice that the Japanese word for Gold, 金, is completely absent from Teddiursa's page; the Japanese word for Silver, 銀, appears but one time on Phanpy's page to indicate a special download promotion for all three versions. This means that unlike in the non-Japanese versions, it is the Teddiursa family that is missing from Gold, whereas the Phanpy family is excluded from Silver.

In the future, please do not assume that someone is wrong based on your "intuition" alone. Either conduct minimal research on the subject at hand to determine the answer, or contact the person who inserted the questionable piece of data and bring your doubts to his or her attention. Wi-Fi

Why won't my Wi-Fi connection work for Pearl? It works on the DS Browser. Whenever I try to connect, I get the error message:

Unable to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector.
Confirm connection settings in the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection setup.

Wanted articles

I have started a new "hobby" of creating some of Bulbapedia's Wanted pages. In the last 10 minutes I have reated stubs for the articles, Keiji Kinebuchi and Wobbuffet Village.
