Learnset
By Move Tutor
Draco Meteor can only be tutored to Dragon-type Pokémon (with the exception of Arceus, which can learn it regardless of which Plate it's holding). In the Sinnoh region, the tutor (grandma Wilma) can be found on Route 210 in her house, and in Johto, the tutor is in Blackthorn City. In the Unova region, IrisB or DraydenWB2W2 will teach this move at Opelucid City. In the Kalos region, there is a house on Route 21 with a tutor inside. In the Hoenn region, the tutor is an Expert in Sootopolis City.
Similar to Blast Burn, Frenzy Plant, and Hydro Cannon, the Pokémon to which the move is to be taught must have its friendship rating maximized.

Trivia
- In December 2005, prior to the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, CoroCoro Comics January ran a contest where fans could name the strongest Dragon-type move.[1] Draco Meteor was the move that won this contest.[2]
- Its Japanese name, りゅうせいぐん Ryūseigun (Meteor Shower), contains りゅう ryū (dragon), which is likely a play on its Dragon typing.
