Shields Down (Japanese: リミットシールド Limit Shield) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII.

A Pokémon with Shields Down starts out with a shell that provides it with strong defenses and protects it from status conditions. When the Pokémon's HP drops below half, it loses its shell and changes to an offensively oriented form instead.
