Shields Down (Japanese: リミットシールド Limit Shield) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII.
Effect
In battle
A Pokémon with Shields Down starts out with a heavy shell that provides it with strong defenses and protects it from status conditions. When the Pokémon's HP drops below half, it loses its shell and changes to a lighter, offensively oriented form instead.
