- Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, who uses the Boss and Rocket Boss Trainer classes in the games and is referred to as "the Boss" by Team Rocket in the anime
- Madame Boss, the former leader of Team Rocket
- Subway Boss, a Trainer class for leaders of the Battle Subway
- Boss Trainer, a Trainer class for section leaders at the Black Tower or White Treehollow
- Cyrus, who uses the Galactic Boss Trainer class in the games
